Abstract
This article describes the objectives and structure of the Combat Surgical Trauma Research Laboratory. It describes the research conducted by the laboratory’s staff during 11 missions to Afghanistan and their participation in providing care to the wounded during counterterrorism operations in the North Caucasus. The results of the research and their practical implementation are presented.
